HOW Design Poster Award, 2014.
In November 2013, CCA's MFA Design program hosted NightLife at the California Academy of Sciences. The theme of the event was "Metamorphosis". We challenged ourselves to depict the theme using only type as image. We laser cut a series of letters, strung them together as mobiles and set up a photoshoot. Then we printed, cut, collaged, and drew on the photographs.
The final posters were printed on a large format Epson, and the text and line work were silkscreened on top in metallic copper ink. We created an edition of 25 posters which were gifted to students and faculty that had contributed to the event.
